AAU The Horn of Africa Regional Environment Center & Network (AAU HoA-REC&N) has received financing from Sida (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency) toward the cost of the development of capacity for implementers and facilitators of the Integrated Land Use Development Plan (ILDP) in Gambella People’s National Regional State (GPNRS), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
AAU HoA-REC&N is a peculiar regional organization established to bridge the gap between policy, knowledge and practice in environmental matters of the Horn of Africa region. The organization is serving as a regional multi-stakeholder platform of knowledge exchange whereby academia, policy-decision makers and practitioners convene to promote environmental conservation and natural resources management as well as facilitating collaboration, strengthening and advocating for sustainable development and environmental governance across the Horn of Africa.
As part of the effort to support the most vulnerable community, and to ensure sustainable development, AAU HoA-REC&N with its partners is executing the ILDP for Gambella People’s National Regional State program to help the regional government of Gambella to overcome these gaps and challenges.
A number of teams, composed of research scientists in different disciplines have established and have been working in selected thematic areas to support for the development of an integrated land use and development of the master plan of the Region. Hence, several thematic maps of the land use type and database have been developed; indicating the location of technical and social infrastructure from their respective studies outputs.
AAU HoA-REC&N wants to engage an independent, certified and capable firm for the purpose of website development for the regulatory office as per the Terms of Reference through open bid process. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Article 22 of the public procurement directive and Article 5 of Sida Procurement Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants (“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the Sida policy on conflict of interest. An eligible consulting firm will be selected in accordance with the least cost and high-quality selection method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.
Interested eligible service providers may obtain a complete set of bidding document up on payment of non-refundable fee of ETB 200.00 (two hundred birr) at the address below from 9:00AM to 5:00PM (Monday to Friday)
Bidders shall submit sealed original and copy of Technical and Financial Proposal separately marked with the official stamp of the company to the address stated below on or before 11 July 2023, at 11:00AM. Late bid shall not be acceptable.
The Bid (Technical proposal) will be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend on 11 July 2023, at 11:00AM at the address below.
All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of total amount ETB 10,000.00 (ten thousand) prepared in the form of CPO or unconditional bank guarantee with the name AAU The Horn of Africa Regional Environment Center & Network. Further information can be obtained from our website: www.hoarec.org
