HoA-REC&N signed an agreement with three network members to strengthen networking within the Ethiopian Chapter of the Horn of Africa Regional Network (HoAREN) and to promote sustainable development for improved livelihood of people in the Rift Valley Landscape.

The three organizations are: Forum for Environment (FfE), Association for Sustainable Development Alternative (ASDA) and Arsi Nature Conservation and Environmental Development Association (ANCEDA). Signed on 22 December 2016, the agreement mainly aimed to ensure the sustainability and networking capacity of the three member organizations through internal institutional strengthening venture.

The grant will enable them to facilitate networking and to strengthen interventions related to environmental conservation and natural resources management in the Rift Valley Landscape Over the last several years, FfE, ASDA and ANCEDA have courageously flagged environment and natural resources management issues in various parts of Ethiopia, in partnership with HoA-REC&N and other organizations. HoA-REC&N and the organizations agreed also to jointly create enabling conditions to achieve the goal of the agreement.
