The Horn of Africa Regional Environment Centre & Network (HoA-REC&N) was pleased to receive a team of internal auditors from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida)Top of Form at its Headquarters in Gullele Botanic Garden on 31^st May 2023. The team includes Sophia Litzen and Angelica Davidsson-Nirving from Sweden, and Elmi Nure and Rahel Hailu from the Swedish Embassy in Ethiopia. The team received updates on the ongoing projects that include the Horn of Africa Environmental Sustainability and Resilience (HoA-ESR) supported through the regional section and the Integrated Land use and Development Plan (ILDP) implemented in Gambella Regional State supported through the bilateral section of Sida. The meeting provided a good opportunity to update the team about the achievements and challenges to achieving the goals of the two HoA-REC&N’s flagship projects, as well as the opportunities for continued community and policy engagement in the Horn Region.  HoA-REC&N would like to seize on this opportunity to thank Sida for the continued support for sound environmental governance in the Horn of Africa.
