The Horn of Africa Regional Environment Centre and Network (HoA-REC&N) will be conducting its second Annual Review Meeting on the HoA-ESR project in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The meeting will take place at HoA-REC&N headquarters in Gullele Botanic Garden from September 6 – 7, 2022. The review meeting will be convened to update the donor, Sida on HoA-ESR achievements made in 2021 and assess any adaptive management needs. Implementing partners from Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somaliland, and South Sudan will be in attendance. A number of activities will be conducted including tree planting to honour the Green Legacy, progress updates by the implementing partners, and other important discussion points.

The HoA-ESR is funded by Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Sida under the Regional Development Cooperation for Sub-Saharan Africa. The project is designed to contribute to the ‘whole of society approach’ to biodiversity conservation in efforts to achieve long-term environmental sustainability in the Horn of Africa region.
